Be the light–a campaign that began seemingly simultaneously April 17 across the nation where high schools lit stadiums at exactly 8:20 p.m. to honor seniors who’ve had an abrupt and disheartening disruption to their senior year and now face not being able to walk the stage as scheduled.
Assistant Principal, Coach Adams, did the honor of lighting Tommy Baker Field Friday, the 17th and Tweeted out photos for families at home. Additionally a drone captured arial footage and Ms. Teasley took photos and footage for The Warrior Word and a poem video project in the works.
Although closed to public access, CHS football and baseball fields will be lit tonight and every Friday following at 8:20 until the end of the school year. Likewise, many neighborhoods are turning on their porch lights at exactly the same time.
