The fall days are back

Who doesn’t love watching the colorful leaves change before finally falling away. The smell of fresh coffee takes on new vigor in the crisp morning as the chilled breeze fills the air. Fall is where the magic happens. It’s my favorite time of year.

Instead of hit and miss weather–from being freezing one day to a hot sweaty mess the next day during summer, you can bask in the scent of pumpkin spice, and stay constantly warm by a fire with all your friends and family. There’s nothing not to love about the fall days.

October 1st marks the day when everyone’s favorite drink has made its way back into season: the pumpkin spice latte. Nothing can epitomize the season more than sitting on your porch sipping that sweet latte with the scent of pumpkin filling the senses.

Pumpkin spice products then quickly fill the shelves–long before the Halloween candy makes its mark. Companies have become more innovate than ever to capitalize on our love of pumpkin spice. Take a look back to see when journalism class reviewed several of these.

No other sensation says “fall” more than feeling a bumping of wagon along a dirt path with a puttering tractor in front or trudging through scary haunted houses and sharing crazy screams with your closest friends.

At the end of the day, fall is a season all about being thankful for your loved ones while having fun with your closest friends. This is the perfect time to bring out the oranges, reds, and yellow colors, and pull out all the spice scented candles you own.

Another reason I really love fall is the amazing food.

I tend to generally eat far better food this season than I will eat all year. Making spiced chili while bundled up in the blankets on your couch or even tasting the warm chili while sitting on your porch watching the colorful leaves change is a blissful experience.

Fall has that feeling that no other season has. It’s perfect for taking beautiful photos and photo shoots, and spending time outside in the cool breeze. This is also the perfect time for making hot cocoa and lighting a fire with all your friends around. This season creates an amazing setting for comfort and warmth.

While 4:30 p.m. sunsets are not everyone’s cup of pumpkin spice coffee, daylight savings time offers great views during day break. The glitter of frost and rain glistening in the morning sun is always a beautiful morning picture. Did I already mention how perfect that lighting is after your morning run for that cute selfie?

Must haves during the fall season

• Flannels- first off, what human doesn’t like being wrapped up in that cute, colorful flannel. Flannels are a fall necessity.
• Soup and chili- when is it a better time of year to stuff your face with soup and chili?
• Cold-weather boots- everyone needs a go-to pair of boots for that chili weather.
• Sunglasses for that beautiful morning sun shining through your windshield on your way to work.
