KEEPING THE TRADITIONS ALIVE: SENIOR DRESS UP WEEK

As a senior there are plenty of traditions set in place to help us have the best year yet before we go out into the real world. One of those traditions is dress up days that occur during the first week of school. There are other dress up days throughout the year but the first week is the most special.

MONDAY: BLACK OUT

The first day is to dress in all black. Usually the senior girls will wear a black dress and the boys will wear a black shirt with shorts or jeans. This day gives the seniors a day to dress their best and show off one of the school’s colors.

TUESDAY: BACK TO KINDERGARTEN

The second day is to dress up like you’re still a kindergartner. Some seniors will try to mimick one of their outfits that they wore in kindergarten, some will just wear a basic kid-like t-shirt, and some seniors will go all out. Use all the glitter, put up the pigtails, wear all the jewelry and live like a kid again for one day.

WEDNESDAY: HOLLYWOOD DAY

The third day is for being whoever you want to be. That person could be an actor/actress, sports player, comedian, celebrity, or whoever you want it to be. Wear all the bling or just a chill outfit and live out your wildest dreams on this day.

THURSDAY: JERSEY DAY

The fourth day is for representing your favorite sports team. Most seniors will wear a baseball jersey or jerseys from any of their states sports teams. Whatever you choose to represent is uniquely your choice and special to you.

FRIDAY: SENIOR JEANS DAY

The fifth and final day is to wear jeans. The senior girls will usually decorate their jeans all out with paint, glitter, and special patches. The boys on the other hand will usually just wear regular jeans, sometimes paired with boots. This day is most special because it gives you a chance to show off all your creativeness and even represent your school colors in a fun and colorful way.
