We all have our essentials, the things that make life feel complete. Things that we could not imagine living without. For me, some even go beyond necessity and simply bring me true happiness. I have a special collection of constants, the parts of my life that I can always depend on.
Here are a few:
God
God is at the center of my life. He has provided me with all that I need and has never failed me. During the good and the bad, whether I am struggling or I am steady, I can always go to Him for prayer and guidance because I know that He will get me through whatever it is that is weighing on my heart.
Family
My family is my biggest source of support. They come to all of my races, banquets, award ceremonies, and anything else that is important to me. If I care about something, they will care just as much. They always provide for me and check up on me to make sure I am doing okay.
Music

I listen to music every day to clear my mind. My favorite thing about it is that it is heavily versatile. I love that I can listen to it no matter how I am feeling by mixing up styles and genres. I mostly play music on car rides and when I am studying.
Digital Cameras
Cameras capture every magical moment. I have so many wonderful memories that have been caught on film, and cameras are helpful because I can go back to look at those photos any time, as well as getting to cherish them forever.
Google Search
Google is one of those things I use so often and I do not even realize it. If I had to guess how much I am on it, it is probably at least every 30 minutes to search up whatever it is that I am unsure about. It is extremely accessible and easy to use.
Mirrors

Mirrors are so helpful to do a quick check to see what I look like before going somewhere. I do my makeup using my vanity, I look at my outfits in my full length mirror, and I even use a compact one at school. These are another thing that I use so much and definitely take advantage of when I can.
Eyelash Curler
Eyelash curlers are such a quick and easy way to fix up my appearance. I love that they make my eyelashes appear longer and make it look like I applied mascara, when in reality, I most likely just rolled out of bed and curled them. Curling my lashes is by far my favorite step in my routine while getting ready.
Press-On Nails
When I first discovered press-ons I knew I would never go back. They are easy to apply, but I also can take them off anytime without having to wait for them to grow out. Sometimes I just need nails for one short event, and I do not always want something on my nails for so long.
Purse/Wallet
A purse or wallet is always a necessity for me when going anywhere. They hold all of my items in a stylish, yet accessible manner. My favorites to take with me at the moment are shoulder bags and wristlet wallets.
Car
I love driving and taking care of my car. Ever since getting my own, it has been so reliable getting to school and practice on time, and it is an easy source of transportation. It has been nice having more responsibility and going for drives by myself.
These are just a few of the things that are deeply intertwined with my life. They are not just preferences. Instead, they are essentials which represent the core of who I am. They are constants that color my world with joy and meaning.
