Meet the iconic characters

This series is based around six best friends who live in the heart of New York City: Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe. Ross is the quirky paleontologist with quite a few divorces in his past. Rachel was first the very spoiled runaway bride who relied on her dad’s money but soon grew into an independent woman and became a beloved character. Monica, Ross’s sister, is what many would say a perfectionist, who also enjoys cooking for a living. Chandler, the funniest one, works at the usual corporate job. Joey is the flirtatious one who is very charming and is a struggling actor. Finally, Phoebe is the free-spirited musician, who has plenty of stories from her weird past.

Why it’s more than just a show

This show is filled with laughter, sadness, and just about everything you would expect living life with your best friends as working adults would be. It also includes an iconic and hilarious script with lots of eye-catching scenes. One of the most legendary lines includes, “We were on a break!” With that line being talked about and brought up plenty of times. This 90’s show really showed the world that life can have its funny moments and its sad ones, but those moments are better when you have others to share them with. Especially in Friends when they have amazing friends that are basically family and stick by each other’s sides along the way. As said in the intro of every episode your real friends will “be there for you.”
