Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Andrews

For the past 2 years, Mrs. Andrews has been my food teacher and I have grown a close relationship with her. I am currently entering my third and final year of her class and it is a bittersweet moment. I’m excited to make more memories with her and the class, but I know next year I won’t be with her. She teaches food nutrition and wellness, food for life, and food science as well as being the leader of FCCLA. Mrs. Andrews makes school more enjoyable and deserves to be recognized more often.

What is something you can’t live without?

Parents and sleep. I literally love sleep and I talk to my mom pretty much every day on the way from work, and I ask my dad advice for everything.

What are you looking forward to the most at the new school?

Being in one big classroom because the kitchen and the classroom are in the same room.

What has been the most memorable field trip you have had?

I had a group make it to nationals and flew to California and we went to Disneyland. The students competed one of the days and then the rest we went site seeing. One of my favorites was swimming in the Pacific Ocean.
