Gettin’ ready…for the night of nights! Every year, everyone looks forwards to the most exciting event of second semester; Cherokee High School’s prom. The dance never fails to be the most fun-filled night of the semester and seeing everyone’s prom looks is always so interesting.

Everyone enjoys their prom day in many different ways, but for all, it’s guaranteed to be full of fun! Many students get ready together and do each others hair and makeup before going out and taking pictures before heading to the dance. Some students also go out and enjoy a fancy dinner!
This year’s prom theme was “Bridgerton,” taking inspiration from the hit series on Netflix. The show captures the aesthetic of the Regency Era in England, focusing on the time period of 1811-1820. Known for its elegance and romanticism, some students wore detailed and patterned dresses to match the period.
This year’s dance was held at the Foundry Puritan Mill in Atlanta from 6:30-10:30 pm. Upon arrival, everyone was greeted at the door with a flower crown to match the theme and create an immersive experience.

The venue was covered with tables where students could either choose to sit socialize, surrounding a dance floor, of course, where students could show off their best moves.
Throughout the night, the DJ played a variety of hit songs such as “Not Like Us,” by Kendrick Lamar, and even “HOT TO GO!” by Chappell Roan.
Snacks and refreshments were provided throughout the night, as well as many other fun activities! Students had the option to take photos at a photo op and take home a printed picture with their friends to commemorate the night.
Caricatures were also offered if students wanted a silly drawing of themselves at the dance! On the way out the door, everyone was also given “CHS Prom” goodies to take home.
Cherokee’s prom was a great place for not only students, but also the teachers! The chaperons for the dance also came dressed up, and the dance was a great time for everybody to socialize.
Prom is always a great night and we can’t wait to see what next year will bring!
