Whatever Disney movies you enjoy, Tangled is guaranteed to give you a good laugh and a good cry. Tangled captures it all, with so many twists and turns full of emotions. Not sure if you’ll like it? Tangled was released on November 24, 2010, and is rated PG. I know you might be thinking that since it is rated PG that it wont be any good since kids can watch it. however, there are many jokes and actions that are targeted towards older audiences. Some characters in this movie are Zachary Levi as Eugene/ Flynn Ryder, and Donna Murphy as Mother Gothel, the main character Rapunzel is voiced by Mandy Moore. All of their amazing voices will carry your emotions throughout the movie.
The story begins where Princess Rapunzel has been locked in an extremely tall tower for her entire life. She was kidnapped as a baby by an old lady that needed her magical hair to stay young forever. Being trapped for such a long time, she begins to think about the outside world around her. It wasn’t until her 18th birthday when a man used her tower to hide from the royal guards that she created a plan with him to escape the wicked tower.

The world is dark and selfish and cruel. If it finds even the slightest ray of sunshine, it destroys it! – Mother Gothel
Tangled is filled with so many plot elements that make the movie so exciting. Eugene climbing up the tower to hide from the royal guards chasing him down, fills us with wonder as we wonder what will happen when the Princess sees him for the first time. When Rapunzel leaves the tower for the first time and her filling with so many emotions and not knowing what her mother will think if she ever found out, makes us wonder what truly would happen if she were to come back to Rapunzel not being in the tower. Would she chase her down until she finds her? Will she get too old and not be able to go find her? The possibilities are endless.
And the thing is, I’m not scared anymore. – Repunzel
Throughout the movie there are many important uses of colors. Princess Rapunzel is always seen wearing purple and gold which is important because the floating lanterns she sees that are looking for a lost princess are also purple and gold. Could they be looking for Rapunzel? The mood and tone of the movie also drastically changes with the music used, the singing, and the characters tone of voice. This is important so we can understand what is going on in the movie and how the characters feel when something happens.

Overall this movie was so much fun to watch. No matter the age, anyone will enjoy this movie. I definitely recommend watching this movie whether you are snuggled up in bed binge watching movies or if you need a good movie during a long car ride, any reason you may need to watch a movie, you should watch Tangled.
