Cherokee’s Varsity boys soccer team played against Mountain View High School at Tommy Baker Field on Wednesday, April 21. After a tough fight, our Warriors fell to the Bears 3-0.
Our varsity boys soccer team has been working hard this entire season. With practices every weekday since January for two hours, the Warriors have been putting in much time and effort in their sport with big payoff.

This has been the first time in over a decade where Cherokee’s boys soccer team has made it to the playoffs. Although some say it has been almost 32 years, which has not been confirmed, either way it is a huge victory for our Warriors.
This year we are in region 4 7A with other schools like Etowah, Woodstock, Roswell, Milton, and Alpharetta. Because of the lack of games last season, the Warriors played each team twice this season.
The boys played a great season with a nine wins and only six losses.

The Warrior Word caught up with the team after the game and asked them for a statement about the season.
We did something that hasn’t been accomplished in 20 years and I’m really proud of my squad, especially my seniors. I’m looking forward to another shot at state next year.
Coach Jarrett McCall
I wouldn’t change anything about my teammates and how the season went, there is no other group I would rather make history with.
Diego Deviez, Senior, on his time this season
Although we wish the boy’s season could have continued, we are incredibly proud of all the hard work the team put in throughout the year!
