The CHS Winter Guard holds their flags high despite 2020 / 2021 hardships

With winter at its peak, the Winter Guard of CHS is working harder than ever in spite of COVID – 19. Winter Guard flew into their season with tryouts on November 30 – December 1 with their first practice on December 3. Winter Guard typically goes from December to April every year. This is their 8th year as an organization in the school.

The 2019 – 2020 Winter Guard was about to finish their season when they were stopped abruptly because of the national shut down in March of last year.

Last year’s theme was “Sweater Weather.” The girls and boys dressed in fall attire and preformed a “Sweater Weather” cover.

After watching the Color Guard through Marching Band last year, I began to admire the group and I desired to be a part of their team since then.
