With winter at its peak, the Winter Guard of CHS is working harder than ever in spite of COVID – 19. Winter Guard flew into their season with tryouts on November 30 – December 1 with their first practice on December 3. Winter Guard typically goes from December to April every year. This is their 8th year as an organization in the school.
The 2019 – 2020 Winter Guard was about to finish their season when they were stopped abruptly because of the national shut down in March of last year.
Last year’s theme was “Sweater Weather.” The girls and boys dressed in fall attire and preformed a “Sweater Weather” cover.
The 2021 team’s first meet was on February 13th. They placed 5th overall. Way to go, Warriors!
2020 – 2021 Winter Guard meet schedule:
- 13 February @ River Ridge HS (Placed 5th)
- 27 Feburary @ Kell HS (Placed 7th)
- 06 March @ Cherokee HS (Friendly performance)
