A Poem To Charles Dickens On His Birthday

On this day, February 7, 2021, Charles Dickens, a beloved writer of works such as Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations, would have turned 209 years old. On this special occasion, we commemorate him and his life with a special poem.

The meadow where you walked is not but a park
exiled by societal advances
But of a roaming ground where you once wrote

How did that dynamic storytelling come into that mind
I wish I could hind
The proof of your existence but alas you seem like a dream or a bark
In the wind
