Cherokee High School is a part of WSB TV’s Game of the Week contest for Friday’s game against Sequoyah! As of Monday, the school trailed in 3rd place among ten other high schools competing for this honor with 28% of the votes. However, by Tuesday morning, Cherokee High School leads in first place. The win depends on accruing enough votes, so readers are highly encouraged to vote today before the polls close Wednesday.
What is “Game of the Week”?
Cherokee High School has the unique opportunity this week to be featured through WSBTV as “game this week,” but the school faces steep competition among other area schools. Should CHS win, the game will be featured live on WSB-TV Atlanta Action News.
According to Ms. Potts:
If we win they will send a news crew to the school to positively represent us and hype up the game. We will get a trophy and they will do a big segment on the children. We were wondering if we could get the school behind us in the voting process. It would really mean a lot to the kids, community, and is great for the school.
Ms. Potts, Administrative Assistant, Cherokee High School
