Pitch Perfect was released September 28, 2012, and is rated PG-13. I know you may be asking yourself if it’s appropriate for kids, and no its not but once you get into high school you can definitely watch it. The main actors in this movie is Anna Kendrick who plays Beca, Rebel Wilson who plays Fat Amy, and Brittany Snow who plays Chloe. Those three are for sure the highlight of the movie.

The Storyline is Beca (Anna Kendrick), a reluctant college freshman who joins an all- female aceppella group, The Barden Bellas without the intention of doing anything with it in the furture. The plot line is internal group conflict over modernization, a rivalry with the all-male group the trouble-makers, romance, a climate competition win, and comedic riffs.

Even though some of y’all are pretty thin, you all have fat hearts, and that’s what matters.- Fat Amy.

Fat Amy says this to them meaning that even though a lot of the girls in this group are smaller than her they all have big hearts meaning they are kind and she has much love for every single one of them.

Ac-a-scuse me?- Aubrey.

Throughout the whole movie they used lots of specific colors. As you watch the movie you realize that every time the bella’s performed, they wear navy blue, and bright yellow. They are also seen wearing hot pink at rehearsals. The mood of the movie is a very high energy mix with nostalgic girl power, underdog confidence, and comedic friendship.

Overall, this is a very comical, competitive, and romantic movie. Yes, you might have to be a little older to watch this movie but it has lots of jokes and funny references that you want to be old enough to understand. This is definitely the movie that you want to be snuggled up on the couch with a blanket and popcorn watching with your family.

Rating: 5 out of 5.
