The moment the calendar turns to December, there is only one word I think about: Christmas. Known for being most people’s favorite holiday, Christmas starts showing its face as early as October. However, sometimes I find it hard to determine when it is the right time for the Christmas spirit to come into our lives.
How can someone start the Christmas season without a Christmas tree? Certainly, setting up the tree with your family is the launch pad into the Christmas season within your house. Then, when should that be?

Early November
Loving Christmas with all their hearts, many claim that the beginning of the Christmas season is on November, 1. By December most people already have their Christmas tree up, with 55% of people who celebrate in the US putting it up before Thanksgiving.

With Mariah Carey’s support and her yearly release of “It’s Time!!”, many modern companies’ decorations and limited-time Christmas items released on November 1, the idea of the Christmas season beginning right after Halloween has become very normalized.

Though I am not accustomed to celebrating Thanksgiving, I don’t like the idea of celebrating a holiday with another holiday’s decorations stealing the show. This rush to start Christmas, just causes people to skip over other holidays. Christmas ends up running over other holidays, even as early as Halloween, taking the fun of the moment away. Enjoying each holiday at a time is the best way to celebrate the end of the year.
December, 24
In many European countries it is very costumed to set up the Christmas tree on the holiday’s eve. They claim that this is the best way to celebrate the eve and set the Christmas spirit.

Yet, that would delay the Christmas spirit all the way until Christmas Eve itself! All when you will have to take it down by the beginning of the new year. Bringing cheer and joy into our lives, the Christmas spirit is not a day but a season. How can putting up the Christmas tree so late keep the spirit through the entire Christmas season?
After Thanksgiving and early December
Right after Thanksgiving, what is the best thing to look forward to? Christmas, of course! With no other holiday blocking the way, this is the best time to put up your Christmas decorations! Especially if you have a live tree that has a limited time to be in place.
With 40% of people who decorate for Christmas getting ready for the holiday around this period, it can be seen how it is the best choice for many. However, there are even more who prefer to start earlier.

Making the world colorful, kind, and beautiful, the Christmas spirit fills us with joy. When setting up the Christmas tree, it is as if we are opening the door to its magic. In the end, the time to do it does not really matter, and it is totally up to you. No matter what time, it will bring the Christmas spirit to your home.
As the most wonderful time of the year approaches, the Warrior word wishes you a very bright, merry Christmas! Have you already put up your Christmas tree? If not, what are you waiting for?
