A sensational summer: 10 activities for your summer bucket list

What time is it? Summer time! There are so many exciting things to do this summer, and it’s time to start making your summer bucket list. There are two months of school and over sixty days of vacation, so it’s our job to help you make it worth while!

Here are 10 ideas from The Warrior Word on some fun things to do this summer in Georgia.

1. Go to the pool

Of course, going to the pool is the most basic summer activity, but it wouldn’t be summer without pool days! Our biggest suggestion for a fun summer day is going swimming to enjoy the weather while cooling off. Even sitting by the pool is a great way to relax and tan. The pool is always the place to be, but don’t forget sunscreen!

2. Do a craft

With so much time on your hands, being crafty is the way to go. From painting to scrapbooking, there are so many ways to be creative! Definitely hit the local craft store, or even repurpose things around the house to create something new.

Here are some fun craft ideas:

  • Make a bikini box
  • Scrapbook your summer
  • Paint a canvas
  • Make jewelry
  • Sew a patchwork shirt

3. Try a new recipe

Live music can be such a great experience, and listening to music outside while the sun is setting is even better. There are so many fun concerts to attend all summer, especially locally. Small artists play at restaurants all the time. There are always ways to enjoy some good tunes, so it’s definitely something worth putting on your bucket list.

7. Play pickleball

Another fun (and competitive) outdoor activity is pickleball. Similar to tennis, one or two players will stand on each side of the net and take turns serving the ball, trying to prevent it from bouncing on the ground more than once before hitting in back. The first team to get to 11 points wins. Even if playing by all of the rules isn’t your cup of tea, it’s a super fun game to try out!

8. Have a movie marathon

Movie marathons are a great way to relax and spend time with friends! Everyone can come together and share their favorite movies and snacks. An outdoor movie night can also be a great way to enjoy the weather!
