In no particular order, I have attempted to create a list of the top 10 things I could not live without for the Warrior Word family. They are:
- Photography
- Spotify
- My Car
- The Bible
- My Stanley
- Sports
- Traveling
- Streaming Services
- My Cows
- My Family
1. Photography
Ever since I was little I have loved taking pictures of nature and people, but it wasn’t until I signed up to take Journalism and joining the Warrior Word staff my freshman year that I was introduced to sports photography. I started taking pictures my freshman year during Cherokee’s football games to use in my articles and grew to love it very quickly. Through help from many people over the last four years, I am now able to take pictures for many sports teams at Cherokee and continue to use them in my articles today.

2. Spotify
Whether it’s in my car or while doing schoolwork, I am constantly listening to music. Car rides wouldn’t be the same without some of my favorite playlists on Spotify. As I cannot study without some noise in the background, I’m not sure I’d be able to remain focused without my music either. Specifically, I use music to drown out talking or chatter when trying to focus on individual work during class.
3. My Car
I am constantly on the go between school and extracurriculars. Getting rides from people is a hassle to both people involved, and it’s much easier to just get in my car and go. Life would just not be the same without late-night drives while blasting music with friends.
4. The Bible
As a Christian, I constantly rely on my relationship with Jesus. The Bible is the tool I use to strengthen my relationship with Him. Reading my Bible allows me to learn more and more about Him everyday.
5. My Family
My family is extremely important to me. My parents, Jed and Vanessa Green, have provided everything and more for me and have supported me and my dreams. My brother, Daniel, always keeps me on my toes, and my sister and brother-in-law, Daylan and Michael Greene, are my biggest role models. My family drives me to be the very best version of myself.

6. Sports
Sports has been my specialty here at Warrior Word for the last four years, so naturally, they hold a special place in my heart. I am an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and will support the Atlanta Braves until I die. My brother played baseball growing up, so most of my weekends were spent sitting at a baseball field. I now am a sports photographer and cheer for basketball. My life is heavily influenced, and I wouldn’t be the same without them.
7. Traveling
One of my favorite activities is seeing the world. There are so many miraculous places on earth, and I want to spend my life seeing as many of those places as possible. It’s truly remarkable to stand at the top of a mountain or see just how big the ocean is. The wonderful thing about living in a place with such a variety of environments is seeing the wonders of them all.

8. Streaming Services
Whether it’s binging a series or just having something playing in the background while doing homework, I usually have some Netflix or Hulu playing in the background. I love to turn on a series and just allow my brain to turn off after a long day at school or to help me relax before bed.
9. My Stanley
As someone with migraines, staying hydrated is a must. My Stanley has greatly improved my water intake and has helped lower my migraine threshold. I will admit, I originally got it as the “next big thing”, but after seeing the added benefits in my life, it’s hard to leave the house without it.
10. My Cows
I have been raised around cattle my whole life. With my family’s farm, I have learned the hard work it takes to raise cattle, but it has also fostered a love for animals and their care. I truly believe working with the cows has been a pivotal point in my wanting to go to school for veterinary medicine. I remember helping my family draw blood from the cows to check for pregnancy and thinking, “This is what I want to do.”
