Warrior of the Week: Senior: Malachi Preston

Malachi Preston is a Senior at Cherokee High School and was nominated to be Warrior of the Week by his English teacher, Ms.Bennett.

Malachi is passionate about his classes and playing basketball here at CHS. Malachi is kind to everyone he meets. It is a known fact that when he is around, laughter is around. His teacher describes him as respectful and outgoing. He also recently celebrated his 18th birthday on March 5th, so happy belated birthday, Malachi!

What is a interesting fact about you?

I really enjoy talking to my friends and playing basketball. I also enjoy going to new places, exploring, and finding the beauty in things that other people don’t see.

What do you like most about Cherokee High School?

I like how diverse this school is.

What are your plans after high school?

I would like to go to KSU to study business. In the future I would like to be a mechanical engineer, I would like to build different things.

What is your Favorite subject?

Language Arts

Basketball

How long have you been in Cherokee County?

I’ve been here my whole life.

What is the best piece of advice you have to give or was given to you?

The best advice I was given is to believe in yourself and have confidence in everything that you do. Don’t doubt yourself.
