Rylee Hopson, sophomore and member of the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Teen Leadership Class of 2020 was nominated for Warrior of the week by her literature teachers, Mrs. Floyd and Mrs. Forman.
“Rylee is a reader – what Literature teacher doesn’t love that? But more importantly Rylee is a learner and a thinker. Her consumption of words is purposeful. Her educational pursuits are not based on the goals of passing a test or completing a task. Rylee processes, analyzes, and evaluates the information she takes in, then retains the information coupled with the insights she has gained from thoughtful reflection. Through critical thinking and pursuit of learning for the joy of it, Rylee exemplifies the hope (the dream!) teachers cling to for each of our students,” said Ms. Forman.

Along with the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Teen Leadership Class of 2020, Rylee is also a clarinet player for the Band of Warriors, active in other clubs around school, and is recognized as a funny person and kind friend with a great smile by her friends.
