Ava Lees is a junior at Cherokee High School and was nominated to be Warrior of the Week by literature teacher Mr. Jones. Ava is passionate about writing and soccer and is a member of many clubs at CHS. She is a great student and is kind to everyone she meets.

“I really enjoy traveling.”
What do you like most about Cherokee High School?
“At Cherokee I think you can tell that the teachers enjoy their jobs and they are enthusiastic about teaching.”
What are your future plans after high school?
“I’m hoping to study communication in college and go on to work as a journalist or a writer.”
What is your favorite subject?
“AP Language.”
What are you involved in at CHS?
“I’m involved in the soccer program, Beat Out Cancer, National Honors Society, and Students Demand Action.”
The best piece of advice you have to give or were given?
“To try and enjoy school and not let the stress of homework and tests ruin the experience for me.”
