Calling all bakers! If you love to make pies, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, pumpkin cheesecake, you name it, Knox needs you, and needs you NOW!
As we mentioned in a previous article, Knox’s annual and highly celebrated fall festival is this Friday. One of events participants look forward to is the cake walk, which depends solely on donations. All types of baked goodies will be welcomed!
“Our cake walk booth relies solely on donations of home baked or store bought goods. We’re seeking donations of cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, pies, cookies, brownies, muffins, dessert breads, pastries, donuts…etc. If you donate a taste home baked good, please label it and package it securely in plastic wrap or in a (non-returnable) container” asks the coordinators of the festival.
Donations can be dropped off on the day of the fall festival: Friday, October 25.
Foods for specific food sensitivities are especially appreciated including gluten free, nut free, soy free, dairy free, dye free, and wheat free. Please label your food if made with these accommodations.
Volunteers are also still needed for the event. They will be happy to sign or verify any community service hour forms! Please visit the SignUp Genius link to sign up for any available booth and time slot.
