Cherokee High School’s varsity volleyball team has been off to a great start this new school year. With the season only being less than three weeks old, the team has hit the ground running.

The varsity volleyball team played their first game of the year on August 6th away at Paulding County High School. The Warriors pulled away with a win 2 sets to 0. The team won the first 25-16 and the second 25-12.
The weekend of the 10th, the team won the Silver Bracket Championship at the Sequoyah Classic. The Warriors won against Starrs Mill in two sets. They won set one 26-24 and set two 25-21.

Finally, the team won on August 13th against Creekview High School with scores of 25-14 and 26-24. The Warriors defeated the home team in two sets.

Although the varsity volleyball team has suffered recent losses, the team hopes to continue their success throughout the rest of the season.
