Makenzie Bird//Editor-in-Chief
Makenzie Bird is a sophomore at Cherokee and this is her second year writing with The Warrior Word, taking on the role of assistant editor. Outside of journalism, Makenzie enjoys dance, design, and playing the piano and ukulele. She hopes to one day become a fiction writer, and if not that, teach.
Samantha Dodd//Project Manager
Samantha Dodd is a senior at Cherokee High School and this is her third year writing for The Warrior Word. This year her goals include: honor roll, perfect attendance, meet new people, and make new friends. She is a member of the Cherokee High School Color and Winter Guard. Samantha has a passion for art expressed through makeup, crochet, and writing

Claire Green is a junior and this is her third year on staff. She enjoys cooking, playing piano, fly fishing, photography, and spending time with friends and family. In school, she enjoys math and biology.
Amelia Buhl//Reporter
Amelia Buhl is a sophomore at Cherokee High School, and a key contributor to The Warrior Word. Some of Amelia’s goals for the 2022-23 school year are to make new friends and get good grades. During her free time, she loves to participate in creative and artistic activities such as journaling and making jewelry. Amelia is super excited to be a part of the journalism staff and loves Cherokee High School!
